What is a somatic intuitive mental health nutritionist?

A somatic dietitian integrates evidence-based nutrition therapy with your own body awareness, wisdom, intuition, and nervous system regulation to help you heal your relationships with food, body, and movement. 

Rather than focusing only on what you eat, this approach explores how you eat, why you eat, and how your body feels in the process. It acknowledges that food, emotions, and the body are deeply interconnected—and that sustainable change happens when we learn to listen to and trust our body’s cues.

As a mental health nutrition specialist, we also focus on helping you understand how mindset, embodiment, food, supplements, and self-care impact the brain and your mental wellness.

Hi, there! I'm Joanna Pustilnik MS RDN CDCES CIEC

I'm a nutrition therapist and dietitian, feminine embodiment coach, and intuitive eating counselor. I've provided nutrition support for mental health and food relationship concerns for 9 of my 14 years as a dietitian. 

 

With a background that includes movement and athletics, embodiment and energy work, and clinical expertise and work in mental health, I have developed a unique approach that can support you in making peace with food, movement, and body through somatic-based nutrition therapy.

The goal of my work is to help you gain full body acceptance, full body connection, and full intuitive self-trust so that you can optimize nutrition for mental and physical health without restriction, rules, or stress.

My nutrition, self-care, and embodiment work helped me move from anxiety and body disconnect to living fully in body trust and attunement. I want you to feel this too!
